Emilio's play Elektra Problematika has been under development in collaboration with Studio Luna in Los Angeles. An early draft of the play won in 2009 a Fellowship Award judged by the poet Prageeta Sharma at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. 

 

His work in progress, the farcical comedy Yūgen, received a developmental reading at About Face Theatre's Re/Generation Studio, in 2023.

Emilio is also developing American Sink, a new tragic comedy about the online radicalization in the American suburbs.
